Covid threw a spanner in the works...but our events were the ultimate educational tool!

At Sales Impact Academy our free live content is changing to fit around the increasingly busy schedules of our customers and the B2B tech community. But, not before we take the time to celebrate the AMAZING knowledge that has featured on our In This Together Series - A series of live broadcasts created to help and inspire the B2B tech community during COVID-19.


We have all been thoroughly briefed on how to maintain our personal health and keep each other safe during the pandemic, but we also need to dedicate our efforts to safeguard the health of tech startups and scaleup businesses. Figures for the second quarter of this year showed the steepest fall on record of UK GDP, of 20.4%, as the lockdown brought many areas of the economy to a complete standstill. Though many tech companies like Zoom and Amazon boomed during the lockdown, lots of us faced the frightening prospect of unmet revenue targets, depleted sales and an ever-shortening runway.


So, when offices shut their doors on the 23rd of March we kick-started a programme of live events where industry experts came together to discuss best practice for tech startups. Four days out of the working week, we all came together for an hour of live debate, discussion and peer-to-peer learning.


Many sales and marketing professionals have volunteered hours of their time in supporting, educating and entertaining those battling the repercussions of the pandemic. Topics such as Fundraising, Career Progression, Effective Marketing & Campaign Strategies, Prospecting & Sequences, SEO Management, Category Creation, Coaching & Leadership, Sales Enablement and much more were all covered in depth!


We delivered 100+ live events with the help of 134 world-class speakers, including the likes of Mark Roberge, Christopher Lockhead and Nazma Qurban. Almost 50% of our audience was from outside of the UK with viewers logging in from 86 different countries!


Our YouTube videos were watched 10,920 times with 1.5k hours of educational content consumed for FREE on demand.


Over the last couple of months, we learnt from our mistakes, shared our successes and found solutions to common problems; generating a digital intimacy throughout the industry which we hope will continue as we transition out of the COVID-19 space. The sales and marketing community has displayed an amazing sense of comradery, adopting a collective sense of responsibility towards one another.


So THANK YOU to all the speakers, contributors and viewers for making the series a greater triumph than we ever imagined. It’s been a lot of fun but also incredibly rewarding working with you all. As lockdown measures ease and people return to work, the sharing of knowledge becomes increasingly important in kick-starting business as usual. We will continue to put on high-value and high-impact educational live events, but for now it's curtain call for our In this Together Series.
